站在蘇澳港邊，遙望遠方海堤，發現海堤上，原本一紅一綠的燈塔，在「梅姬」風災過後，現在只剩下紅燈塔，另一邊的綠燈塔，已經被攔腰衝垮。
得知指引船隻進出港的燈塔倒塌，漁民很擔心船隻進出港安危，2座燈塔，北堤是紅色、南堤則是綠色，漁民戲稱為紅綠燈。

是十大建設之一的蘇澳港，的重要設施，民國65年矗立至今，高25米，是全國最迷你的兩座燈塔，去年（2015年）杜鵑颱風，就已經將它們吹歪，而這次梅姬的17級風勢，捲起13公尺大浪，更直接將綠燈塔沖垮。
